Friend and fellow CR.net moderator, Mr. Woolery, came up with the idea to do some trim rings for the Garage Vary tail lights on his car. And then he followed that one up with the idea to make a limited run of these rings and sell them to a few lucky folks on ClubRoadster. And here is my set!!!!
The rings are machined aluminum. They received a nice machine polish and then clear anodizing. They are very well made. In my hand, they feel similar to any of my Japanese-made trim pieces. That’s as good as it gets and just about the highest praise one can give to an American-made part.
The built the whole Death Star. Nearly twice!!! A few screws don’t pose any problem for a good Trooper.
These Garage Woolery rings finish off the Garage Vary Nostalgic Lamps very nicely. They add that little something to send the GV looks into flavor country. Vintage flavor country! Okay, maybe I’m reaching with that metaphor, but really, these rings are the mutt’s nuts.
Sorry to not have some shots in actual sunlight for this blog post. As I backed out of the garage to shoot these, the sun went away. When I got to this spot, the rain started. And by the time I was ready to put away the camera, snow was coming down pretty good. Expect to see these more in the days and months to come.
Thanks for the awesome new product, Garage Woolery!
Do you plan on selling these? I want a pair SO bad!
I used to but don’t have a machine shop to make them any longer…
