Here’s a post that’s been on the back burner for MANY months. It’s been in my drafts since November 2017. Sorry about that Brian.
When I was at MRLS last year, I got to meet a bunch of friends I’ve only known through the onlines or emails. One of them is Brian, owner of the gorgeous black NA you see here. Getting to meet both Brian and Jazz was a highlight for sure!
Jazz has a lot of presence. I’ve drooled over pix of this car for years, but seeing it in person… it wasn’t a disappointment, I’ll tell ya that.
This might be the first set of Jetstream headlights I’ve seen in person. They’re every bit as stunning IRL as in photos. If Sharka’s Moss Low-pro headlights weren’t so damn efficient at lighting up the night, I’d very likely buy a set.
Jazz is also rocking a set of wheels that I covet badly. I’ve been searching for just the right set of Watanabe wheels for over a year now. They’ll turn up, I know… but Jazz looks so perfect with them.
I believe the Supercharger is new to Jazz and this was Brian’s first event with it. My memory is foggy though, so I might have that wrong. Either way, it certainly makes a lovely whine.
I love blower whine.
Brian has showered some attention on Jazz’ interior as well. It’s quite lovely in there.
The Elise seats are quilted and super comfy. A MOMO Prototipo guides Jazz through the twisties. There’s a GarageStar brake grip and Corn’s shifter. A ton of other parts as well! A blue-coated Blackbird Fabworx rollbar is peeking out.
Behind the wheel sits a set of custom gauges from my tiny shop. As I recall, they were a mix of JNC and GT40. The royal blue background really sets them off and they look amazing in the extremely-HTF AWD gauge cluster.
With any luck, I’ll get to meet up with Brian and Jazz again in the near future. I’m not sure what 2018 will bring for Miata events, but I’m ready to go for a drive.
Cheers Brian! And once again, sorry this was back-burnered for so long.
and Benny on the background! Jazz is really cool and I love the Jetstreams. Cannot stop thinking how amazing they would look with a Barchetta front bumper. Need a NA in my life…
