Gloss Black vs. Art Deco

Gloss Black vs. Art Deco

I have a couple new styles of vent rings to show off. Gloss black powdercoat and Art Deco.

First up, the Art Deco. They have a rounded profile rather than the angled profile of the regular version. This gives a flatter front face which lets them reflect a little more light from dead on.

Not bad eh? Quite different from anything I’ve seen on the market. I admit, I’d forgotten all about these from the Darkside days. Dan sent me an email and reminded me about them. I’m pretty pleased that the manufacturer was able to make up a few sets for me to sell.

And now for the black.

Sharka’s Vent Rings in gloss black powdercoat. I am in love with these.

Before and after

Before and after

I’ve been trying to keep the interior of my NB as understated as possible. Sharka looks great with the shiny accents, but there’s a lot to be said for a roadster with a black interior. That’s the look I want for Bucky. So, I decided to order a few sets of vent rings in gloss black and keep one for myself.

And I’m blown away at how gorgeous they are.

Did I mention I love these black rings?

They catch the light in such a wonderful way. I’m smitten. Gloss black powdercoated aluminum. Who knew it would look so elegant? I did not.

The downside is that now I have to powdercoat my shift knob. And get a metal brake grip to powdercoat. And… and… and… =)

Both of these new styles are in my store now. They (and the originals) are selling for $44 shipped in the US.

    Hi Revlimiter!!
Those look fantastic!… have you thought about making a small ring too for the hazard button on the NBs?
    Congrats! 🙂

Love the gloss black, different look.

For Bucky I would like to see an engine start button where the hazard light is and the hazard light relocated to the cig lighter. I don’t think anyone has done this before and I think you are the guy who could pull it off. Just a thought.
