This is the result of a few days where I didn’t really get to do much. Too much work to stop by the paint shop much. Believe me when I say that it hurt.
Check out some shiny parts with me.
This is how the bumpers came out. They’re incredible. I tweaked this photo in Camera Raw to make it as close to reality as I could, but it still falls a bit short. The colors and depth of the paint is insane.
These panels are not polished or anything. This is straight out of paint. They have almost no orange peel. I know this because of reasons that will be posted about in the next update.
Horrible horrible reasons.
Just… lovely. I can’t wait to see these on the car.
But first, a bit more paint needs to be sprayed.
These are the last parts to get paint. Just a few stragglers. Paint and stripes and then done.
I was called in to help with the stripes on these small panels. It was wonderful. I managed to not take any photos of it. Sorry about that.
But… the good news is no waiting to see the outcome.
No more vinyl!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!!
There’s a ways to go, but when I saw this, there were no words for my joy. Seeing everything painted? Man.
Sorry if calling the stripe between the trunk and hardtop a “tramp stamp” is offensive. No offense intended to those who have ink in this area. I’m sure Sharka will punish me for this later.
So many stripes. Such paint.
Wow.
Next time: assembly.
That paint looks black to me.
Montego blue has a lot of shades that it looks like under different lighting. Black is one of them.
Love it.
Thanks Jason!!!
