Dang… where to start… The sheer awesomnity of the stuff in this post has me speechless. I’m gonna let the photos do most of the talking.
A bit about Moe: He and I are instagram buddies. Moe makes fantastic Hot Wheels customs and I’ve purchased a few. His work is excellent. I’d go out on a limb and say he’s probably most well known for the #Datsun510Truck. He slices the wagon back off and adds a custom-molded truck tonneau cover and some glass to transform the wagon into a truck.
This blog post is about the huge box I just received from Moe.
Take a look at the top pic. See ALLLLL the stuff? I actually gave Moe money for these three cars. The others were all gifts.
Star of the show is the Groot Kombi. It’s a limited edition of… 12? 10 or 12 I believe. I love Guardians of the Galaxy. I had to have one.
The K-day exclusive black 510 truck on white wheels? Instant impulse buy. Moe posted 4 or 5 with different wheels on his instagram and I sent money straight away.
The Civic… he’s made a few different ones. I had plans to wheel-swap my red one and put it in one of my display cases, but this mod that Moe did just struck me as perfect. It started out as a black Civic, got most of itself painted red and some custom waterslide tampos installed. The perfect wheel choice was the icing on the cake. I had to have it.
These are all gifts. Random acts of kindness or RAOKs. I don’t even know where to begin.
I’ve sent Moe a few things which were also RAOKs. Small things really. But… man… I was repaid at least 5x over.
Just nuts. I opened the box a couple days before attempting to write this post. I was as speechless then as I am now.
It took me a few minutes to even realize the snowflake 63 Chevy was a custom. It’s that subtle.
But the best part?
This little car… wow.
It started out life as a Cars Miata (Mia and Tia) I believe. It then got extensively modified, painted, wheel swapped, and striped.
My very own Sharkatoon in 3D.
No words. Wow.
Thank you Moe. Thank you so much.
….. and then this happened.
The little black truck just begged to be free. Who am I to ignore the pleas? She’ll sit proudly next to the yellow one in my case. In fact… a whole Moe shelf might have to be dedicated.
Thank you again my friend. I’m so blown away.
And if anyone would like to check out more of Moe’s work, his instagram and facebook are worth the click.
That red EF…
I will own something from Moe eventually. His work is astounding.
Dude does good work, thanks for sharing. =)
