The Mazda factory rear air dam for the Miata is a bit of a rare part. It was discontinued around 2002. I was fortunate enough to acquire one a few years back. A factory one, not a copy. I remember the day well. I held it in my hands. I admired it. And then I cut it in half so it would fit my trailer hitch.

Every winter for as long as I’ve been a hardtop owner, I’ve dreaded it. The hardtop. Being closed in. The squeaks, the rattles, the confinement.

This blog post has been a long time coming. A long time. As long as I’ve been rebuilding my car since The Bonk. See, after I decided to rebuild Sharka, I started looking around for a new set of wheels. That was last November. I found these unique RP-F1s in June. I paid for them around the beginning of July. And now they are MINE.
