In May, I brought a new little soul home to live with us. His name is Grimlock, or Grimmie for short. He’s a chihuahua / Jack Russell terrier mix and is about 1 year old. He thinks he’s 900 lbs, though he’s barely 12, and has quite the little Napoleon complex. He doesn’t bark much and he apparently has some Beagle in him. He bays. “Arrroooo arrooooo arrroooo!” He’s a very good car-rider and enjoys having the top down.
Grimmie is also rescue dog who was returned to the pound twice. TWICE! And I can believe it. He’s been somewhat difficult the first month. He’s growled and snapped at me a few times and bitten me once (which resulted in immediate punishment and no 2nd bite). He’s very spooky around city workers in bright reflective vests and is afraid to go outside in the backyard. Poor little guy has had a hard past. I’ve been trying to nurture him as best I can and provide plenty of discipline and exercise. And love.
