Day 4 – Snowed In

Yes, Snowed in. Stuck in Chicago. Many multiple inches. Not the best thing ever for a tiny Miata. But I’ve got a warm place to stay and the promise of less weather tomorrow, so I’m staying in Chicago an extra night. Not much to do but stay warm and shoot toys indoors.

Snowed In
Poor Sharka. This is probably the first time he’s been covered in snow in his 14 years judging from the rust-free undercarriage. I’ve been sweeping him off randomly to keep the back window from having to support the weight of a couple feet of snow.

breakfast
We had breakfast at a place called Walker Brother’s Pancake House. They serve this apple pancake thing. SO good. Like strudel. And so filling! And so much SNOW!!!! I was happy to not be driving.

Snowball Fight
It was toy photo time. Toys love the snow! Miatas do not.

Little Guardian
Dave has got some awesome toys in his collection. I’ve never seen myclone-like Macross figs. Too cute. Almost died of cuteness.

Hostile Planet
I call this one “Hostile Planet.” The title was not at all inspired by my stuck-in-the-snow situation.

But, but, but… It’s an adventure!

  • Cindi says:

You should stay an extra extra night and go to the museum with us tomorrow! I’m sure the Uglies would LOVE the MSI – lots of buttons for them to push!

  • revlimiter says:

Don’t take this the wrong way, Cindi, but I WANT OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do wish I could have met you while here, but I’ll be back! And I’ll bring Sarah next time.

  • Sarah says:

Come home, come home, come home, come home, come home, come home, come home, come home, come home, come home, come home, come home, come home, come home, come home!

  • Cindi says:

LOL!!! Can’t take the snow huh? Lightweight. 😉 *giggles* I don’t know why, but I thought Sarah was with you. S’okay, you come back sometime with your lovely and we’ll all have some fun. Would have been easier to see you this round if I still lived in the city.

  • Dad says:

I Agree with Sarah!!!!!!!! Come home, come home, come home. You have had enough snow.
